Lost phone

Hi so i found this phone in the middle of the road and eventually received a call from the owner so we actually set up to meet that way i can return the phone back but previous owner did not show up then wouldn’t respond back to me what can i do since i still have the phone in my possession..Oh forgot to mention i had for about 2-3 months
