unknown device logged into my icloud

I have an unknown device logged into my icloud I do not recognize. I received an email that someone logged into my account. I logged in and changed my password and turned on 2fa. It will not let me remove that device. How do I proceed?

Suspicious log in attempts to my iCloud email Hope you can help. Two of my emails, one being my iCloud email have had over 150 combined attempted log-ins since end of March this year, under 1 month. I then noticed battery is at 87%, iPhone 12 only 1 year old exactly. Suscpicious log ins both in iPhone & mac, iPhone IP address when not using Wi-Fi showing wrong city, located 4 hours away. In my activity monitor it says mobileactivationd - read on here it means bypass setup iCloud activation lock. I have never jail broken my phone but could it be? Mac logs seem to possibly indicate remote login but I don’t know & iPhone logs like mac say reboot every day since March. I’ve reset iPhone to factory settings but battery app usage statistics still there after reset. Home Screen and lock battery usage is very high. I don’t know if there are hidden apps in background but is that possible if reset phone. Is there anything I can do as jailbreak detection options seem like dodgy/don’t work. Anti-spyware seem iffy? I have an app I found only in iphone storage called Instagram Inc. I already have Instagram so don’t know what this is and can’t find it to delete. I have changed password to iCloud and password to sign on to my mac. Apologies for the long msg. Any advice/knowledge is appreciated greatly. [Re-Titled by Moderator]

Check your device list to see if there is a device signed in that you don't recognize. You can remove the device using the steps in the article below. As a precaution, change your password.

Apple ID device list -Check to see where you‘re signed in. *

What to do after you change your Apple ID or password - Apple Support - I suggest doing this before you change your Apple ID or password.
