Ford Sync Phone Call Audio Bug

A recent iOS 14 update has messed up my phone call audio when using Ford Sync.

When my iPhone is connected to Ford Sync using Bluetooth or the USB cable and I receive a call, the other person can't hear me until I change the audio device to "iPhone" then back to "Sync". The same thing happens when I make a call, which I usually do using Siri.

I'm running v5.11 of Gen 1 Ford Sync software on a D1BT-14D212-RA APIM.

Is anyone else having this problem, and do any of you know of a fix? I was hoping for a software update from Ford, but nothing yet.

Hello joehoodmusic,

We see that need help with your iPhone and SYNC.

We’d recommend testing for the issue with another device that has the same version of iOS installed or in another car, which will tell us if the issue is isolated to your car or the device.

If the issue is isolated to your car, you’ll need to reach out to Ford for help.

If the issue is only occurring with your iPhone, try to forget your car and your iPhone on each device, then pair them again. How to connect your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch to your car

We hope that helps.
