Autocorrect Bug?

This has become such an issue with me that I have concluded it has to be a bug.

I’ve always been mostly satisfied with the text autocorrect feature, but in the past couple of weeks I find myself constantly erasing and retyping text due to absolutely bizarre autocorrect errors. Some of the words it tries to substitute are gobbledygook; others are so blatantly low-probability (“Taliban” for “telephone”, e.g.) that it has to be a software glitch.

Is this a known current issue Apple is working to fix?

Hello Illbay! Thank you for participating in the Apple Support Communities.

We understand that words typed are unexpectedly auto-corrected with a different word. We'd like to look into this with you to see how we can help.

Auto-Correction uses your keyboard dictionary to automatically spellcheck what you type. Resetting the dictionary settings may help with the issue you're experiencing You can do that here: Settings > General > Reset > Reset Keyboard Dictionary.
