Credentials for MS Office for Mac

I followed the instructions in the Feb 2021 post and installed MS Office on my MacBookPro, running MAC OS High Sierra. When I come to open one of the applications, it requires credentials for whoever purchase the app. Each time I enter my credentials, I just get a spinning wheen and "Loading..." in a blank dialogue box. Does anybody have any ideas about how to get through this point? I have tried creating a new ID, but the same thing happens.

MacBook Pro 15″, macOS 10.13

In February of 2021, Microsoft did not sell a version of Office that was compatible with High Sierra. They still don't and never will again.

Mojave is the oldest version Office is supported on. that will change in a month or so to Catalina.

Not sure what you got or where you got it from, but if you're having a problem with it, you need to contact Microsoft for support.
