Does anyone know if connecting a MacBook and Akai mpc mini with a non Apple usb converter would cause the midi controller to not be recognized? I can’t make the mpc controller work with my MacBook.

It does show up under USB devices but not in audio-midi-setup. Do I need a driver? I found an old driver called «UnitorMIDIDriver» but my M1 macbook Pro said, it's not necessary to install it. When I plug in the interface, the USB-LED flashes twice but then only «Patch» LED stays on. It also flashes MIDI-LED's as long as I play on the connected keyboard. Any ideas how I can get it to work with garage band or logic pro?

Venutura 13.4 update stop software seeing usb devices Since the last updated my Max Mini M2; ADJ MY DMX3.0 stopped seeing USB midi controllers. I have reinstall software and also tried transferring software from my Mac book pro, which sees the MIDI controllers (Mac book pro is on Ventura 13.3.1 (a)) Can anyone help as this is extremely frustrating

Unable to Yamaha PSR E413 as a MIDI controller to Garage Band in Mac Book Pro M1 running Big Sur 11 I used to use a 2016 MacBook Pro and I ran my Yamaha PSR E413 into it through usb and was able to use it as a midi controller in Garage Band. I just got the new 2020 MacBook M1 running Big Sur and I can no longer figure out how to use my Yamaha PSR E413 as a midi controller in Garage Band. I installed the USB MIDI driver from https://usa.yamaha.com/support/updates/usb_midi_driver_for_mac.html and restarted the computer. But it just don't work. Looks like we will need a version for M1 chips. The current version of the software is compatible with macOS 10.15.x-10.5..x Has anyone else run into the problem of not being able to use their keyboard as a midi controller on the new Mac/macOS? Can anyone suggest any other MIDI Keyboards that will be compatible with new Mac Book Pro M1 Silicon Chips with Mac OS Big Sur 11.3. Need urgent help and suggestion.
