I have a spreadsheet with dates in a column, which of some repeat and some don't. I would like to count the unique amount of days within that column. Does anyone know how that would be possible?
The example in the screenshot below would be 4 while there's 6 entries (2 dates repeat).

There is more than one way. Here is one.
If that is column B, in corresponding cells in column C put the formula
=1÷COUNTIF(B,B)
In another cell, not in column B or C (except if in a header or footer) put the formula
=ROUND(SUM(C),0)

Since the amount of repetition in my flowsheet will vary all the time, I am looking for another - non-numeric - option.
Would you happen to know other ways of doing it?
I do not understand. How can a count be anything other than numeric?
I do not understand what the problem is with the solution that it does not work for your spreadsheet, or what it is you have in mind instead. I do know that one issue it has is the formula results in an error if the row is blank but that can be easily taken care of.
