Back up your iPhone 6 Plus to either iCloud or your computer then use this line -> Use Quick Start to transfer data to a new iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch - Apple Support

Spare me the editorializing, it is horsefeathers. I suggest the backup as a fallback measure if something went wrong during the quick transfer I linked. Apple charges $0.99 per month to go to 50GB of storage, if that is to costly for you then you should not be using an $800 cell phone. Plus, as I said you can back up to your computer instead, even a PC so long as it is running a supported OS version and you have the latest version of iTunes. I would use the Quick Start link to set up your new iPhone and if that fails for some reason you can set up your new iPhone from the backup on your iPhone.

Thanks for your reply Deggie, My problem is I have more data then the $iCloud$ will allow. How do I save my apple data to my computer (windows) and transfer back to a new iPhone (12). Apple makes it very difficult/costly to perform exchanges, upgrades etc. Their focus is $$grifting$$ the consumer. I'm trying to get around that...
