Why am I seeing Family calendar on my phone? (I am not under any Family sharing plan)

I bought a new iPhone by myself and I didn't do anything except syncing my iPhone, iPad, and Macbook. However, I am receiving a notification from the Family calendar (I'm 100% sure that this is my parents' calendar schedule). I really don't want to share anything with my family, especially with my parents, so I checked the Family sharing settings on my iPhone & I am not part of any Family. I also checked my account setting on the Apple webpage.

Why am I seeing this family calendar thing on my phone?? I do not want to contact my parents regarding this issue and I really do not want my parents to see any of my personal stuff/schedules.

I used iPhones in the early-mid 2010s (after that I used Android phones) and I believe I was under my parent's Family sharing plan? (I was under 18 at that time.) I still remember that my parents even tracked my location with that Find my iPhone thing..

Hey YoungForever7,

If you were a part of a Family Sharing group, there is a shared calendar called Family which is automatically added to your Calendar app. Events made in other calendars cannot be seen by your family. If you’re not sure if you’re a part of their Family Sharing group, you can use the steps here to help you verify and leave the family group if you like:

Leave Family Sharing

Hey YoungForever7,

This calendar is automatically added when you join a Family Sharing group and you can delete it on your iPhone and uncheck in under Calendars in the Calendar app. You can leave feedback about changes you’d like to see available for this calendar here:

Thanks for reaching out to Apple Support Communities. It sounds like you’re seeing a calendar event from your parents on your devices though you’re not a part of any Family Sharing groups. We’ll be happy to help.

If you’re not a part of any Family Sharing groups, it may be an invite. Do you see an option to decline the event? This article has more info:

I do not see any new invites. Maybe I already accepted the invite long time ago in my other devices?

If I accepted the invite in other devices that are using the same Apple ID, will I see the Family schedules on my new phone as well?

Also, just to make sure- since I am not under my parents’ Family sharing, my parents won’t be able to see any of my personal stuff (photo, note, calendar, etc.), right??

Yes I do see a calendar called "Family." Is there a way to remove myself from this shared calendar? I can delete this calendar from my phone, but I just want to completely leave/remove myself from this shared calendar- if that's possible.
