Expired Apple Pay transaction

I tried sending $20 to a friend about a week ago using apple pay and I received a notification saying that the transaction expired, I reached out to my friend about it and she told me that she tried to accept it but wasn’t letting her because she’s 17 yrs old, so I’m trying to figure out if i can get the $20 back into my bank account so that I can give her that money a different way. I checked my bank account and it only shows that it took out $20 and hasn’t been returned.
