Dot above my status bar
I keep having a dot appear above my status bar here lately and it only shows when I decide to make a call, what does it mean and how do I prevent it from popping up,

It means the microphone is active, which, if you're making a phone call, is pretty much required if you expect to be able to talk to anyone...
To avoid seeing that dot, don't make any phone calls or use any apps that use the microphone for any reason...
