Two apple IDs
I have two Apple IDs and I’d like to get rid of one however items are purchased under each ID and I can’t update those items purchased under the previous ID. Does anyone know a fix

There is no fix. Purchases cannot be transferred between AppleID’s. And you can only change the AppleID used in the App Store once every 90 days.
If you have more than one Apple device, you could try setting up Family Sharing between the two AppleIDs.
