HomePod looks through Home App instead of recognising shortcut

Some of my Siri Shortcuts are used to control my Dyson fan. To execute the shortcut, I say “fan 30%”. The shortcut executes fine on my iPhone. However the HomePod looks through devices in the home app, and will not recognise this as a shortcut. How do I fix that?

Hey hkhalil1803,

It appears that you're having a problem with a shortcut you've written to control a Dyson fan. Siri looks through the Home app instead of running the shortcut. While we can't recommend any steps to accomplish what you're trying to do, we can offer the Shortcuts User Guide. Another member of Apple Support Communities may be able to answer, and there are other websites dedicated to writing shortcuts you could refer to.

All the best.
