Airdrop is disabled on my new MacBook Pro (13-inch, M1, 2020) with macOS Big Sur 11.5.1. I'm unable to switch Airdrop to "on" and there is no help or info message to explain why this configuration appears disabled.

Can someone help me find out how to enable Airdrop on this computer?

Bluetooth on this computer is a mystery. It is not always picking up on my magic keyboard, and it has never been able to pair with my AirPods.

The AirPods work with other apple devices, just not this computer. I've followed the online AirPods pairing docs to troubleshoot this.

Interestingly, the Airdrop sign doesn't show up in Finder in the left sidebar where it usually does.
