Removing activation lock
How can I remove the activation lock if I gave my nephew my iPad & he can’t do anything because of the activation lock

HOWEVER … since there is an activation lock, you might not have wiped all of your own personal data. “Proper wiping” instructions are provided here:

Note that this not only safeguards your own info; but it can prevent technical issues your nephew might otherwise encounter.
