Proof of purchase
How can I get proof of purchase for a phone than was on contract 8 years maybe more and I don’t have a contract with that provider anymore?

If you didn't buy that iPhone from Apple Online Shop, you need to contact the seller: Apple physical Store, authorized reseller (providers included), and ask them for a copy of that document.
