my wife can’t remember the password to get into her computer and when we go through the process to change it after Apple id, password, 6- digit process, we get to screen where it says “Reset Password Failed” and
“There are no users on this volume to recover”
then that’s it.
the only buttons to push then are Previous and Restart. Then it just goes back to the login screen.

Yeah I asked her if it’s happened before and she said last week and same solution…erase. Obviously some software glitch.
