Old iMac as external monitor
To use a late 2009 27 inch iMac as external monitor, must you have an adapter or can you use a chord with Mini DisplayPort on one end and USB C on other?

Use it as a display for what?
For “Target Display Mode” comparability and requirements,

The new iMac does not support using your Late 27” iMac as a display.
