How to change audio channel assignments in quicktime movie files - QT7 could do it, but not on a modern OS X?

This was easy to do in QT7 when looking at 'movie properties'.

I still need to do this, but need to be on a modern OS X.

How can one change audio channel assignment from 'mono' to 'left' for example?
