Why is my MacBook Pro so hot?

I have a MacBook Pro that I bought in 2018. I loved this computer so much, but in 2019 it started getting extremely hot and the fan sounded like my computer was going to take off. It has progressively gotten worse over the last two years. I have taken it to the Apple store three times, once they fixed a wire and the other two times I was told it was fine. We completely wiped my computer the last time and I didn’t even make it through the set up process before my computer was hot. (Apple told me the entire time they had my computer it never got hot). I haven’t used it since I picked it up the beginning of August. Decided to use it today and everything besides the screen is hot, like burn your fingers hot. Anyone else this issue?? I really like Apple but this is ridiculous.

If you have installed software that wastes computer resources on a regular basis, such as speeder-uppers, Cleaners. Optimizers, Virus Scanners, third-party file Sync-ers such as DropBox, OneDrive, or GoogleDrive, or a VPN, it will do busywork at previously-impossible speeds — heating up at a ferocious rate.

If you are sync-ing a huge photo library to iCloud, it will do some of that, but not as extreme.

The two quick tests are to restart in Safe Mode, which loads NO third-party extensions. If it no problems in safe mode, "It's something you added."

The second test is to create a new User, and login as the new user. This walks way from any settings or login items stored in your User account.
