Relocating Apple Loops to an external drive - solved

Hi. In case this is helpful to others:

My Sound Library is on an external drive, but my Apple Loops were not.

First, I tried creating a symlink of the Apple Loops folder that I moved to my external drive, and then put the generated Apple Loops symlink folder in the Library/Application Support/Audio folder, and moving the original Apple Loops folder to the trash.

But Logic wasn't finding the Apple Loops. So what seemed to fix this was a) deleting the word "symlink" from the symlink folder of the Apple Loops, and b) opening Garage Band first and letting GB index the Apple Loops. Then upon opening Logic, the loops were found.
