how do I get into my iphone if it is locked due to changed password that we forgot

I have changed my SIM card at ATT who has the Plan. He had a better phone, it just had a few cracks.
I can’t find the the phone I used to use, and I use the one now my husband did , he died on Christmas Eve.
I can’t find my phone since A few days ago. So I don’t have the ID number on me, how do I look it up? It’s got to be in the area I live, but I can’t wait any longer. How do I find it?
