TT-BA07 Taotronics won't pair with AirPods Pro

There are several threads about this, and I have followed all suggestions carefully, but still no luck. When the BA07 is in pairing mode, then I put AirPods Pro in pairing mode, there is some change after 5 seconds: the BA07 exits pairing mode but is still not connected to anything.

It's not a problem with this specific BA07. I have two of them. They both worked in the past, and now they do not. I wonder if an AirPods firmware update is getting in the way. A security feature gone wrong?

Thank you. Success, but not following the advice. First, I followed the instructions and "forgot" the AirPods Pro on all Apple devices, and then followed the TT instructions for pairing. I tried 4 times. Each time the same problem: there is *some* communication, because when I open the AirPods Pro case, the TT stops flashing blue/red within 5 seconds, but then it continues to flash blue and the AirPods case continues to show white -- the pairing process never completes. So, they see each other, they try to pair, and something derails completion. This is why I wondered about the possibility of a new security implementation on the AirPods side.

Then I thought I'd try checking that the TT knows how to pair successfully with other devices: I paired it in RX mode to my Mac no problem. Then I switched back to TX mode, tried the AirPods pairing, and instant success!

So the fix in this case -- apparently -- is to clear everything, then pair the TT in RX mode to something else, then switch back to TX mode and try pairing to AirPods.

Hello tsalgimref,

We see you're having issues connecting your AirPods Pro to a Bluetooth transmitter. We'd be happy to help out with that.

We were able to locate the following page from the manufacturer, which may help with pairing: How To Use TaoTronics Bluetooth Wireless Transmitter & Adapter

Also, try pairing the AirPods Pro to a different device directly, such as a Mac, iPhone, etc. That would help to note if it may be an isolated issue or not.

Another step that may help on the AirPods end would be to reset them: How to reset your AirPods and AirPods Pro

If the issue persists, and it only has issues pairing to the transmitter, we'd recommend following up with the manufacturer.

Take care.
