Intel MacBook Pro Control Strip vanishes in Quick Actions mode when I touch < to expand

This is a known issue for over 12 months as far as I can see. Any chance of fixing it so I can actually use my laptop?

MacBook Pro 16″, macOS 11.5

Try resetting the SMC https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT201295

there is some NVRAM involved on T2 Intel macs

Try resetting NVRAM/PRAM http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1379

(get at least two-three rounds of the chimes when holding the NRAM Reset)

If no resolve it typically indicates a hardware issue:

In or out of warranty you can get a free over the counter 'Apple Service Diagnostics' test /assessment

Make an appointment for a "hardware issue"—
