Email App

What is the best email app to use for a 2021 iMac desktop. I would like to be able to delete emails easily, move emails to folders. I am using mail and gmail but would like to try something different.😀

Is there a complete guide to how to use Apple Mail (in Mac OS 10.13.6)? I'm just starting to use Apple Mail as my computer email program after years of Entourage and Earthlink Webmail. I haven't been able to figure out yet how to do a lot of important things and I'm afraid to delete emails on Entourage or the server. Can anyone point me to an Apple (or any) support article or PDF that covers everything--or at least the basics, like how to save emails to the Sent folder, how to indent and do bullets, how to enlarge text, etc. etc.? How to delete all email from Gmail and keeping them in Mail on my Mac? Sorry for this question which I see it is recurrent but I am really lost. I switched from gmail to another (more privacy friendly) provider. I am keeping my gmail account active only to keep people updated about my new email address. So it went full and I don't see any point in paying for extra space. What's my goal, the one I am asking for help: I want to download all my email on my Mac via Mail and keeping them on my computer as a searchable archive (as Mail offers me to do). At the same time I want to delete all of them from the server. Basically I want to find them in my Mail app but I want to see my Gmail empty when browsing it on line (web interface). Unfortunately at the moment if I cancel just one, it happens the same on my Mail. Anyone wiling to help out there? Thanks in advance NP

need a different email app I don't like the mail app that apple uses. is there another email app anyone can recommend. this is for a m1 iMac (2021) monterey. thanks for reading.

IMO, Apple Mail is head and shoulders over the competition. But, if you prefer finding out for yourself, you can download Microsoft’s Outlook App. Be warned though, it’s feature-loaded i.e. gimmicky, and it’s default settings allow wide leeway to scrape your data, and in general, mess around. So, spend some time leashing it. All the best!

Thank you so much for such a quick reply, I just retired and we used Outlook at work and I did not like it. I will stick with Apple Mail.
