How do you import songs from an old laptop to a new laptop via iTunes 12?

I've purchased a new laptop. After logging onto iTunes via my Apple ID, most of my playlists and songs seem to have been copied over from my old laptop with the same Apple ID. 80% of the songs are greyed out, though. Will I need to transfer those greyed-out songs over? If so, how can I transfer songs from my old computer onto a new laptop via iTunes Version 12? The songs on my old laptop were originally uploaded via CDs onto iTunes. None of it was digitally purchased. I've tried homesharing but can't seem to transfer the files. Both laptops run windows by the way.

Windows, Windows 10
