what's the purpose of locking icloud notes?

hi all :)

so i have never been able to figure out:

what's the purpose of locking icloud notes?

i mean, what exactly does it protect you from?

and what does it not?

why bother locking icloud notes? hi all :) is there any point in locking any of my icloud notes if i am the only one who uses my macs and iphones? i have a password i've set to be required to bring my macs out of sleep, and a passcode set to be required to unlock my iphones. so since no one can open my computers or phones, why would i also need to lock my icloud notes? thanks for any insight on this issue, it's truly appreciated!

Lock not available for notes Although all my notes are on iCloud, I cannot lock any on all of my devices. The lock is not available on a note.

If there are multiple admin accounts in Mac say family members or whoever is accessing the Mac when admin password is revealed , and primary administrator don't want to share or look whatever is saved in locked notes , in those scenarios it restricts another account holders to view locked notes see the article Lock your notes on Mac - Apple Support

note : the admin password and locked notes passwords are kept different .
