Tomtom App: there is no gps fix right now on my new iPhone 4 : (

For those who may have similar issue.. I received a reply back from tomtom (finally). My issue was solved by step 2.

Follow the steps below to resolve your challenge with the TomTom app for iPhone. Can you please also let me know if you're using the TomTom Car Kit or just the iPhone with the app alone?

Note: When you tap the TomTom app icon and are asked to allow access to your current location tap OK.

STEP 1 - Restart the iPhone

- Hold down the Power Button and the Home button simultaneously until you see the Apple logo and then test the TomTom app once the iPhone has restarted. If the problem persists proceed to STEP 2.

STEP 2 - Reset Location Warnings

- Tap Settings > General.
- Tap Reset > Reset Location Warnings and confirm the action. Launch the app, making sure to tap OK when asked to allow access your current location.

STEP 3 - Reinstall the TomTom app

- Hold your finger on the TomTom app logo until the logo starts shaking and then tap the X hovering over the icon.

- Reinstall the TomTom app (see http://support.apple.com/kb/TS1702 for full instructions).

- After reinstallation restart the iPhone (STEP 1) prior to launching the TomTom app.

If GPS reception is still poor then we suggest purchasing the TomTom car kit as it features an enhanced built-in GPS receiver. The TomTom car kit is also available from the link below:
