Again, it is unlikely that your issue will be resolved by a software fix. Apple can also do lots o diagnostics remotely.

Why would you have to pay? Apple does not charge for software tech support or hardware diagnosis in its stores. It will only charge if a hardware repair is needed.

Well, it has been in every news site and every newspaper in the world, so it shouldn’t be hard to find. 14.8 fixes a vulnerability that allowed NSO Group to install spyware on iPhones.
