Iphone 12 stuck on verifying update, won’t false restart!

Did the update that came through today 13.8. All other IOS products did fine except my iPhone 12pro. It’s stuck at the final stage verifying the data. It won’t reboot or false restart. I messaged Apple and they tried to ring me but because it’s stuck it went to voicemail (they emailed me). Suggestions? If I let the battery die and then recharge will this sort it? Or am I going to have to take it in somewhere (I don’t have an apple store I live on Vancouver Island). I do have Apple Care
