app works on iphone but not iphone

You have not mentioned which App you are talking about, but some apps have only iPhone versions and others may have only iPad versions. Some may have different versions for different devices. Check for the iPhone version of the app.

Is it possible it is not a universal app and is designed only for the iPad?
