So where are the updates to protect us against Pegasus?
I have just read in the newspapers about the 'no-click' spyware called Pegasus, which exploits a flaw in Apple operating systems for iPhone, iPad and Mac.

An iPhone 6 cannot update past iOS 12. The security update is for iOS 13 and 14. You are safe.
I understand that my iPhone 6 cannot be updated beyond iOS 12.
But I was curious whether the vulnerability exploited by Pegasus only exists in iOS 13 and 14, or are earlier iOS versions also vulnerable but no patch is being offered for them.
We know that Apple routinely stops supporting older operating systems every few years, which of course prompts many customers to purchase a newer, more expensive Apple device.
I am also wondering about the updates for the problem with the Pegasus spyware that has been announced. News articles state the update was available starting on 9-14-21. Is that correct? When can we expect to install it on our devices??
