Wifi Issues

  1. My wifi on my Mac just randomly stopped working. Its still working on my phone and iPad, but on my Mac it’s saying it has a self-assigned IP address and cant connect. It is my college wifi, so I cant restart the router, but I’ve tried basically everything google says to. I’ve restarted my mac, reset network preferences on my Mac, renewed DHCP lease on macOS, created a new network location, reset the firewall on my Mac, Set Service Order from network settings, and changed DNS servers on macOS and nothing has worked.

self-assigned IP address happens when nobody will talk to you and give you a better IP address.

Problems are usually pretty obvious, like no signal where you are.
