I read an article about phone viruses. How would I know?

Keep your iPhone updated and chances are good you'll never have a problem.

You wouldn't know. Why? Because there are no viruses for an iPhone.
Highjacked iPhone:
The only vulnerably for an iPhone is a highjacked iPhone. So, as long as you purchased it from Apple, then you are all set.
