I'm from Sri Lanka and my friend has visited USA for a short vacation. So I'm planning to buy an iPhone from here through a Sri Lankan Debit/Credit card through apple.com and deliver it to her USA address. Is it possible to do so? If yes, is it ok if I make the Billing address same as the shipping address as I'm unable to select Sri Lanka as the Billing address.
You have to use a credit card issued in the country of your purchase. So to buy on the US site you have to use a US credit card.
It would depend on the credit card and regulations differ in various countries. You can try it but it probably won't work..
But one of my friend said that he bought from the England apple store using a Sri Lankan Credit Card and got it delivered to an England address. So it is not the case with USA?
