How to turn off Private Browsing on iPad 4th generation

i touched Private Browsing on my iPad and lost all my open websites-now I can’t figure out how to turn Private off! Please advise. I’ve pressed Private again to see if it would let me have all my open websites-but only the last one is showing up. Help! Thanks
