I have an iPhone 12Pro with Apple Care+ which expires on November, 4, 2022.
If I decide to trade in the 12Pro for the 13Pro, do I have to purchase a new Apple Care+ for the iPhone 13Pro ?
What happens to the remainder of Apple Care+ for the 12Pro ?

You contact Apple Care Plan Administration and cancel the plan on your current phone and buy a new plan for the new phone. Apple will give you a prorated refund of the purchase price of the plan you bought for your 12 Pro. Unless you are paying monthly, in which case they will just cancel the current plan.
