Music on Kid Apple Watch

I have done some very extensive searching and have even been to the apple store and chatted with apple online. Nobody seems to know how to put music on the kid apple watch that is connected to my iphone. Can anyone help? I've even gone as far as doing the Family Apple Music subscription.
