iCloud email blocking certain senders and authentication emails with codes

I am having a peculiar situation where iCloud email is blocking certain senders that sends me authentication emails with codes (i.e. Webull, Kraken, etc.). It is not coincidence that it is only emails containing codes. I have received these with other email providers such as Gmail so the issue remains only on iCloud.

I have "whitelisted" the senders, I have even created rules to send emails from these senders to a specific folder and even tried to forward all emails to a Gmail account and no luck.

Has someone had the same issue? If so, please share how did you solved it.

Hello Sol544,

Thank you for using Apple Support Communities. Based on your post, you can't receive emails with authentication codes through iCloud Mail. We'll do our best to assist.

To confirm, you have available iCloud Storage? You can sign in to the iCloud website and select your name on the top right > Account Settings to see your current storage.

Are you using the iCloud website or the Mail app on a Mac with this iCloud Mail account?

Do you have other rules set up that might be causing an issue?

Hoping to hear back, take care.

Hello destiny241,

What relation does the iCloud storage have with iCloud Mail blocking specific emails? I would assume iCloud Mail is blocking emails containing phrases such as "Your confirmation code is XXXX" as there has been an increased numbers of scams related to security codes. I highly doubt there is a relation between iCloud Storage and the blocking of specific emails as I receive emails regularly (not containing phrases such as "Your confirmation code is XXXX").

I have tried using iCloud Mail on the iCloud website and Mail app on iOS 14.7.1

No rules set. I created a rule afterwards to store emails that are sent from the domain that sends the authentication codes (i.e. noreply@abcbank.com) into a separate folder and no luck. I have then removed the rule and have attempted numerous times to request login authentication codes from several accounts I have and these doesn't go through.

Again, my bet is that Apple is blocking this type of emails to reduce scams but this is not good as there is no way for the user to retrieve those blocked emails, not even in the Junk mailbox.

Hey Sol544,

It wasn't clear in your first post that you didn't have issues receiving all of your emails. Confirming you have iCloud storage available means that you should be receiving emails. However, without enough iCloud storage, you may not be receiving emails in general.

It sounds like you are receiving emails, just not specific ones with codes. We'd suggest to contact Apple: Get Support

Wishing you well, cheers.
