How do I get my HP envy 5000 to print/copy with big sur 11.6?

How do I get my HP Envy 5000 to print/copy with Big Sur v11.6? Printers shows connected but only prints blank pages.

MacBook Pro 15″, macOS 11.5

HP offers two identical versions of its Install HP Easy Start software. You want the one from March 2021. Although Apple's built-in AirPrint networked printer support handles most of the HP Envoy 5000-series printers, it does not support the explicit 5000 model.


Once you install that HP Easy Start software, and install any relevant drivers, you must re-add the printer and choose the appropriate HP Envy 5000 driver before the device will function. You re-add by right-clicking on the printer entry in System Preferences > Printers & Scanners, and choosing Reset printing system…
