This symptom is hard to diagnose and troubleshoot, since hardware issues

may directly impede any progress; to a point where serious work is needed.

Some of these indecisive support articles almost make sense; or actually work.

Or they kinda wishfully think/act like they are going to work. (Wing & Prayer?)

• If your Mac doesn't turn on - Apple Support

https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT204267

"Press and hold the power button on your Mac for at least 10 seconds, then release.

If your Mac is turned on, this forces it to turn off. If you see no change on your Mac,

press and release the power button normally. If your Mac now turns on but doesn't

finish starting up, follow the steps for when your Mac doesn't start up all the way."

There is sometimes a chance the SMC reset may help. With a newer instruction set

and different interpretation of the "power management reset" behind it, that's not

necessarily a go. ~ Even if or when the idea could float the titanic.

• How to fix a Mac or MacBook that won't turn on - Macworld UK

https://www.macworld.co.uk/how-to/wont-turn-on-boot-3423817/

Above article covers Safe mode startup, SMC reset, NVRAM reset, & More...

Another thing, try and start into Recovery. (Near last, try reinstall macOS.)

If the screen is black/blank and mac won't start into normal display, there

are other things to try & use to troubleshoot. Where it works, it's good:

• If your Mac starts up to a blank screen - Apple Support

https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT210905

"A blank screen (black, gray, or blue) should appear once or more during startup.

~ If your Mac appears to be stuck on a blank screen, follow these steps." (see more)

[..Restart from macOS Recovery. Use Disk Utility & repair Startup Disk. Reinstall OS..]
