Am I able to pick up the new Iphone in store instead of having it shipped to me after I pre order it if I am in the Apple upgrade program? I would like to get it earlier than the ship date.

If you marked it for store pickup you can get it on the 24th assuming you ordered it early enough? What is your current delivery estimate?
Oh I see it now. I wonder if I could pick it up on the 27th instead of 24-26, but there is no option for it. I will be out of town. And also out of town for the delivery date.
