Assyrian Flag as Emoji

Dear Ladies and Gentlemen,

Dear Apple Team,

I was happy to see that you have added Assyrian language to the keyboard.

Thus, the many Assyrians worldwide, about ca. 10 - 15 can benefit from it!

However, until today, you have not added the Assyrian flag as an emoji.

So I wanted to ask you why this has not happened yet?

Why does Apple ignore such an ancient culture?

Why are we so discriminated against,

since all other flags including the LGBTQIA+ Community has the flag can be seen!

have you ever read and understood the whole text?

Or did you just want to spam?

It is disrespectful and discriminatory to call an ancient culture (700 BC) their flag as a "cartoon"!

there tolerance and your LGBTIQ (whatever) are of no use.

Hi deggie,

I meant I wrote to the Unicode Consortium.

However, so far I have not received a reply. I think you can't disregard a 10-15 million community

when we talk about equality and tolerance here.

As best I can tell, the flags that are available are of places recognized by most of the world, not by regions not currently considered independent countries. You can like that or not. However, no one is obligated to provide you with a cartoon flag.

Apple does not decide what emoji are created. The unicode consortium decides. Visit unicode.org to submit a proposal.
