Map foot switches as left and right mouse clicks?

Can a 2 button foot switch can be mapped as left and right mouse clicks?

I am disabled and use a usb foot mouse. The cursor function works but the left/right clicks are dying. I would like to use the existing cursor functions and add a usb 2 button foot switch for left/right functions.

Can these switches be mapped to be mouse clicks?

HI Reppy,

We understand that you are wanting to use a foot switch as your mouse clicks. First, please see this Apple resource on Alternate Control Methods built into macOS:

Change Alternate Control Methods preferences for accessibility on Mac

As for your specific foot switch, you'll want to reach out to the manufacturer of your usb foot switch for additional assistance.

Hope this helps.
