I have a problem with my messages. I changed the year to 2038 and then put it back to set automatically and now I don’t receive any notifications when someone texts me I have to go on chat and see it myself and it’s really annoying when I can’t see when someone texted me. I get the notifications when I put my year back to 2038 but not when it’s the original one.

This is a cliché fix, but have you tried restarting your iPhone? Most of the time that fixes the problem.
With the year set normally, have you checked Settings/Notifications to see what is set for Messages?
Do the message notifications quietly show up in the notification center/lock screen? Or are you just not getting any notification at all.
