How can I connect my Apple super drive to my iMac 24 and get it to work the super drive has a usb a connection and the iMac has a thunderbolt 4 connection I tried using a hub with no success and then tried a usb a to usb c adapter still no success

You must use this adapter: USB-C to USB Adapter - Apple. Any other hub, dock, or adapter won't work.

Try flipping the adapter over (c) end. Some of Those adapters are directional sensitive

Thanks for your help the adapter Apple you called out did work I noticed you were specific about the brand one I had previously tried was a insignia brand so I bought the Apple version and it worked no problem
