Black screen

My MacBook Pro just started having these lines down one side of the screen and now randomly, the entire screen will go black with lines. Anyone have this happen?

MacBook Pro 13″, macOS 11.0

Thanks for reaching out, moriah117. We can help.

It wasn't clear if you are using a MacBook Pro using an Intel chipset, or one using Apple silicon. If it is an Intel-based processor, let's try first resetting the System Management Controller (SMC): How to reset the SMC of your Mac. If that doesn't work, try resetting the NVRAM. (Be aware that resetting the NVRAM will mean that you might have to reset some of your preferences afterwards): Reset NVRAM or PRAM on your Mac.

If none of this works, or if your device is one of several Mac computers with Apple silicon, it may be worthwhile to have it evaluated by an Apple Store or Apple Authorized Service Provider. You'll find them here: https://locate.apple.com/

Take care!
