I’m from houston texas, actually i was planning to buy the new iphone 13 pro max, A friend of mine told me if i’ll buy the iphone giving cash at the apple store, i wont be charged with the vat. Is this true ?

As with all purchases, you will pay the tax required by the country/state/city.

No, not true. Apple by law, must collect the taxes required by the state and city where the store is located. Whether you pay with cash or credit will not change this.

That is true, as there is no VAT in the United States.

You do pay Federal, state, county, city taxes based on your location.
