does activating a new phone stop find my old phone from working

Activating a new iPhone will not stop Find My on your old iPhone from working as long as it is signed into your Apple ID, has location services turned on (settings> privacy> location services > find my) and has Bluetooth or Wi-Fi/ cellular data turned on.
