Calling issues with child’s phone

Why can’t my child and I call or text each other?

I have my child set up with their own child Apple ID and have them on family sharing. They can call everyone else just fine but cannot call my number and my calls do not go through to their phone. I can only text them when they are on WiFi. I have tried resetting the phone, turning on/off screen time, signing in and out of their Apple ID but so resolution.

I don’t believe this is a network problem because they only have this issue with my phone number. No, my number is not blocked I have been going through the phone myself to find a solution.

Are your children getting an error message when they attempt to call you?

Are your children experiencing the issue when initiating a cellular call, a FaceTime call, or both?

In the meantime, we recommend updating your children's devices if you haven’t.

While it isn't inherently assured that an update will resolve the issue, updating to the latest version of iOS for your device can help isolate potential software issues.

Kindly secure a backup and update.
